Iran deal was never popular with the people. The federal - gvt was never intended to represent Posted: May 11th, 2018 - 7:06 am In Reply to: Do you really think Obama thought this through? - It was never a treaty, Iran never signed
the people. Congress was supposed to represent the people. The federal government was meant to be extremely limited in scope, with enumerated powers, i.e., to provide for the common defense. This was never voted on in congress. It was just a piece of paper, not even signed by Iran.
But both the congress and the executive branch over the years have continued to delegate their respective powers and authorities to one federal alphabet soup agency after another, ad infinitum. Growing a monster in the process. We now have as a result a congress and a presidency vulnerable to subornation, easily preyed upon by everyone else. Including a completely out-of-control press. In short, what the founding fathers most feared for this nation.
