The task force is effectively a PR effort to assuage community anger.

The California problems arise due to state laws, policies and practices.

Common claim: the homeless are mostly mentally ill.

Fact-most “mentally ill” homeless self-inflicted their illness by years of powerful drug and/or alcoholuse.

If only there were more, better programs, places for them.

Fact-survey on Santa Ana River homeless gathering, found 90+ percent of them, don’t want help.

They would accept free drugs, free alcohol, free food. But nothing with any strings, anything with rules and conditions.
