I'm undecided on the - tariffs.

There are good points to argue on both opposing and agreeing sides of it.

Since Trump seems pretty set in slapping the tariffs on, I guess only time will tell if it is helpful or hurtful. I do think initially it will cause prices to go up on a lot of things that rely on that steel or aluminum, which will hurt all of us consumers. Down the road, will we produce enough steel to handle the demand? I don't know.

It could be helpful in creating more jobs here, but it could also cause retaliation in other countries by raising or creating tariffs on our products, which will cause other countries to shop elsewhere.

He pretty much campaigned on China's unfair trading practices and he is right, but this particular move could hurt relations with Canada, who is the country we receive the most steel and lumber from.

I see that down the road it could create more jobs here but prices will go up. It's a catch 22 situation.

All I know is we will just have to go along for the ride, as we usually do, and see what happens. Just remember back in the day, jobs left this country because employers say they couldn't afford to keep jobs here. Could many of these companies that will have to pay more for steel end up leaving the country more?

Just trying to look at it from different angles and what history has told us.
