"it's quite remarkable that Europeans allow Americans to go to their country?

America has a "violence culture," and he expressed surprise at the idea that European countries even allow Americans to visit.

I guess he forgot about Bosnia. Or the IRA.

I guess he's missing the fact that the Europeans (leaders) will let anyone into their country, including violent Muslims.

I bet he also welcomes illegal immigrants into America, many of whom are violent.
