When I read, "All immigration should be legal," I understood that to mean anyone immigrating, either in accordance with our current laws or in violation of them, should be considered to have immigrated legally.
The problem is we already have an immigration policy, but it was not being adequately enforced for whatever reason, either on the front end by prevention or on the back end by legal recourse. When something is allowed to get this out of hand, there has to have been an upside for SOMEone. I know it wasn't Mr. or Mrs. Middle America.
