I've been there. ALL jobs pay a good living wage. Taxes are higher in percentage compared to ours, but with the higher wages, they still come out ahead. Better yet, when they get sick or injured, they get the care they need without it bankrupting them or causing them to lose their homes or employment. Same goes for educating their children. Most kids there are bilingual, trilingual or better by the time they're out of grade school. That alone puts them in a better place for employment opportunities. The average Norwegian is wealthy compared to the average American. Most own not one home, but also a vacation home as well. They care about their environment and protect it. They also are active and healthy. You see very few obese people there. Those you do see are usually
American tourists.
