1. Corporations are not dumb. They figure Congress will be lost to Democrats in 2018 and minimum wage of $15.00 will be approved in 2019. Raising MW to $11.00 now is a hail Mary to keep the Congress and president status quo.
2. They can't hire anyone for any less than $11.00 anyway, so why not.
3. Both AT&T and Walmart are getting cover for their big layoffs by announcing the MW increase.
I think I heard that Carrier is laying off more people (remember that big dog and pony show last year before the election?)
What a farce.
