The Great Lakes are sitting at almost a foot above normal. Shoreline is disappearing. 100-year-old lakeside houses are having back up of their sewers because the lake water is rising so high it is seeping into the sewer drains. Lakeside trees are dying that have been there all of my life because their roots are rotting. Trees are dying because insects that could not survive in the north are now "wintering" over. Landscapers are recommending different species of trees that were never grown here before. Moose, fish, and other animals are mysteriously dying from environmental stress, again with diseases moving north that were not around before.
All you have to do is look around you. California is burning up and we are water logged. Look at the record storms in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico. Some people will not get it until they wake up Kansas (and they live in New Mexico).
Trump exhibits no leadership on this issue--although he does build sea walls to protect his golf courses. We deserve better than this.
