blown off course, has nothing to do with Thanksgiving. Yes, Squanto convinced the Indians to help the Pilgrims and taught them how to plant corn. The prospered and thrived. Thanksgiving feast was to thank God for the harvest and abundance, including thanking God for sending Squanto.
