The next phase in the self delusion is confirmation bias.

This will probably hit some time after the tax bill has passed. Everyone will have saved money and the economy will be rolling along at 3-4% growth, maybe more.

Confirmation bias in this case will likely present as some tiny detail is singled out which proves the tax plan didn't really help everyone.

If you could provide an honest, non-coerced example of confirmation bias... Well, yeah, not gonna lie. That would really make my day. Even a simple little, "Pshaw! Trump's recovery obviously started under Obama! Delusional pubs!"
