I currently color my hair a medium to light brown, which is very close to the color my hair used to be. I want to let it go gray. Any suggestions on what to do to avoid that awful transition of white-gray roots and colored hair? Is there a way to strip the color? I want to avoid paying through the nose at a salon, but I may have to do that if I can't figure anything else out. TYIA.
