other things in the bill. I haven't read it yet so all I know is the bill was introduced last week.
The mental health of the guy in TX was overlooked. He had problems for years but no one bothered to put him on the list. There's enough blame to go around for this, especially since they now found out he escaped from a mental hospital once. He never, ever should have been able to get a gun, but he did.
Now the TX authorities are clamming up. Why? Nothing more has been said. Why? Same with Las Vegas. Are we supposed to forget these two shootings? Lots of errors in both cases but the old adage to close the barn door after the horse gets out just doesn't work anymore. They need to really, really need to learn from these two disasters. It won't stop the problem, but it may help.
