I think people that live near coal plants - will disagree with you.

Do a little research on cancer rates in people that live near them and work the mines. Perhaps it is you that is misinformed. Right now, many can't afford to be using things like electric cars, solar panels and wind but it has been becoming more affordable. We have to move forward so more and more can jump on the bandwagon.

It's not hypocrisy, it's affordability but since China is jumping forward with it, I guess they will be making and developing more alternative energy and we will be dependent on them.
