Lobbyists may start to be more selective about which foreign clients they’ll work for and avoid ones like the nonprofit that hired the Podesta Group and Mercury. That outfit was ostensibly independent but prosecutors allege it was really under the control of the Ukrainian president.
If Manafort had 10 passports in 10 years, then it is not a case of them expiring, but rather, being full even with additional extension pages. He must travel abroad so frequently that he needs a new one annually. Passports have a 10 year expiration. Have no idea why he would use fake names though. That part is not revealed.
