in 2012 Barack Obama lamented the possibility that Republicans would win the presidency and claim the credit for the "great economic boom" he had laid the foundation for. LOL!
The expectation was that starting in 2013, things would take off in a fabulous way and whoever occupied the White House would become the recipient of the undying gratitude of the American voter.
He won re-election that year and eagerly proceeded to drive our economy further into the toilet. In spite of that, there were some who still gave him insanely high job approval numbers.
