As a Trump voter, I have some issues - with some things that happened this week

Posted: Oct 19th, 2017 - 10:22 am

Issue 1:  Trump is denying he was disrespectful to Sgt. La David T. Johnson's widow, Myeshia Johnson, and what he reportedly said by Rep. Frederica S. Wilson (D-Fla.) was that he told Myeshia Johnson that her husband “must have known what he signed up for” was untrue.

Trump lashed back at Wilson. He denied her account in a Twitter message Wednesday. He said he had “proof” that the exchange did not go as Wilson had described. Trump did not elaborate, but White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said the president had not taped the conversation. She said several White House staffers were in the room during the call, including Chief of Staff John F. Kelly.

WHERE IS THE PROOF?   Talk is cheap.  Give the proof or sit down and shut up.

Issue 2:  President Donald Trump, in a personal phone call to a grieving military father, offered him $25,000 and said he would direct his staff to establish an online fundraiser for the family, but neither happened, the father said.

Later, when Baldridge received a letter from the White House, he realized Trump hadn't followed through on the promise: "I opened it up and read it, and I was hoping to see a check in there, to be honest," he said. "I know it was kind of far-fetched thinking. But I was like, 'Damn, no check.' Just a letter saying 'I'm sorry.'"

WHY DID PRESIDENT TRUMP NOT HAVE HIS STAFF FOLLOW THROUGH ON GETTING HIS CHECK TO THE FATHER AND FUND RAISER STARTED FOR HIM?

I voted for Trump but these 2 incidents give me food for thought regarding Trump and his staff.
