I'm a sucker for animals too. Both of my cats are rescues. My friends found my older cat in the park being poked by sticks by children suffering from heat exhaustion. My other cat had just died and I was so not ready for another cat, but I couldn't just leave him there. My younger cat was the neighborhood cat where we used to live and had polyps rotting in his ear, so I took him to the vet, got him surgery to have them removed, and started feeding him and bringing him in at night. When we moved, we took him with us and now he is indoors.
I've been giving this cat water and my husband made him a nice little house out of a box with a towel in it because it is getting chilly at night. I know I'm going to end up starting to feed him probably because you're right I can't stand to think that he's hungry and he doesn't seem to be going home anymore so I don't know how he is eating. He looks so scared and pathetic out there. I don't understand why people get pets that they aren't going to pay any attention to.
