McCain did lose 2 planes, one was ruled pilot error and the other one, engine failure. He was awarded both a Navy Commendation medal and a Distinguished Flying Cross in Vietnam. And as far as the Forrestal? A missile accidentally fired from another plane and struck either McCain's plane or the one next to it, splashing jet fuel all over the deck which ignited and enveloped McCain's plane in flames. McCain and others rolled bombs over the side to try to minimize further explosions, McCain was wounded. You really need to do some fact checking before you post this kind of pants-on-fire stuff on line.
