My dad is 90 and mom 88 and a paraplegic. They do have aides and nurses 3 days a week and a housekeeper one day a week. They have been discharged from one agency because they were not letting the people in or sending them home early. My dad says he can take of my mom and that the caretakers aren't trained. I live 1-1/2 hour away. Every time I've asked if they need anything from the store, they say no. They need to have more care then they're getting. My mom would go, but my dad is too stubborn. My siblings want me to move in with them because I'm single and am perceived not to have a life, but I can't do it physically and my mom is emotionally abusive. How can you help people who don't want to be helped?
