How does one convince their elderly parents - to go to assisted living. sm Posted: Oct 16th, 2017 - 10:54 am
They are both 79. Only one drives but is losing their license before someone gets killed. Totaled 2 cars in the lasdt 12 months. They had been eating out every day because they do not go to the grocery store or cook anymore. Two-story house but moved their bedroom downstairs. However, they have to go upstairs for showers and to do laundry. They are not in good health. Multiple medications that I do not think they are keeping straight. They say, "Why should we move and pay all that money where we are not happy, when we have lived here for 50 years and it is free." Very worried about their physical and mental state.
