Around 1990 when GM discovered they could save $880 cost per unit by shifting production to Canada to get out from under employee healthcare costs, the lights went on in all of their heads.

Obamacare is failing due to insurance companies profit motives...look how happy people on Medicare are. The fraud doesn't affect them and they don't care about bureaucrats making money from Medicare.

Canadian media magnate Conrad Black told a Canadian interviewer earlier this year that the single payer government system would shift the burden of healthcare costs away from business and to the taxpayers. It would help business to have “socialized healthcare” by “socializing” the thousands of dollars employers pay for healthcare expenses for employees.

Its quite a game they got going in Canada. Low corporate taxes and government bearing the costs of healthcare for employees to make Canada attractive for business.

But the little people pay user fees at parks, sales taxes and income taxes to foot the bill for a healthcare system that ends up rationing its services to seriously ill people.

The crony capitalists, corporatists who fund both political parties in this country would love “socialized health care” because it will benefit them.

Running an American corporation these days is less about capitalism than about cost-shifting and rent-seeking for government subsidies.
