stop the negative posts please

Since the bill has passed, why the pointless negative posts. It is no secret I was opposed to passage, but the reality is, it did. Now is the time for people to come together instead of continuing with the divisive behaviors. As I said below, no one really knows what the passage of this bill will bring to us. we have ideas, speculations, fears, hopes, but no one actually knows. how about we wait and see how it plays out. And once again, as I said below, I will be hoping and praying that I was wrong in my assessment of what this will mean for the country and that it will, actually, be for our good and not detriment. And I will try to keep an open mind and wait to see what follows. I think it would be best for others to try to do the same. How about no gloating and no bI__hing? It would be such a refreshing change, wouldn't it? We can't continue along these divided lines and succeed as a nation.

Bricks shatter glass at NY Democratic offices

ROCHESTER, N.Y. â�� Authorities are trying to find out who threw bricks through windows and doors at two Democratic Party offices in western New York before Sunday's health care vote.

Monroe County Democratic Committee officials say a brick shattered glass doors at the party's headquarters in Rochester on Saturday or Sunday. No one was in the building at the time. Rochester police are investigating.

A brick was thrown through a window at Democratic Rep. Louise Slaughter's district office in Niagara Falls early Friday.

Slaughter's district stretches from Rochester to the Buffalo area. She has been a key supporter of the health care reform bill passed Sunday by the House.

Add this to the incident involving the man with Parkinson's, the disabled woman at the town hall meeting that was harrassed for being in favor of it, the incident with the racial slurs being used at the protest the other day, and the threats by tea party people to start bringing guns-that is what is coming of it. Are you proud of this?

I don't think anyone here condones violent, racist or discriminatory behavior nor does most of society, but there are always those on the edges who behave offensively. To put this light on all of those oppose the health care reform (or whatever the current issue is) simply because they are in opposition is further propagating the divisive behavior. I am sure you are intelligent enough to know that the majority do not support this and I am assuming the poster above meant a "good" fight. I would hope common sense would prevail enough to realize that opposition to what is happening does not constitute approval of reprehensible behavior on anyone's part.

two things. 1)The behavior on the floor tonight was really disheartening. 2)I do think it was wrong for them to vote contrary to the wishes of the people, and I won't be forgetting that come November! The vote is our only power to effect change if we are displeased with the outcomes. The bill is a done deal. I will await the results/consequences. But good or bad, I won't overlook the fact that the will of the people did not prevail.

at least a couple times recently about voting yes for the American people. He HAS to know what every poll has said, that the majority did not want his plan, then he comes out speaking in a way as if he knows best for us. Apparently, we cannot think for ourselves and he must decide what we REALLY want. The arrogance is quite disheartening.

Almost word for word he said the same thing. I guess it's really that obvious.

All I say is I hope things turn around. Once Nov comes people are going to remember who voted against the will of the American people and voted for this. I'll be glad to see many of them go. I understand then they will pass whatever they can to undo the disaster being laid down by the democrats in DC.

Some news analysts were predicting that people will forget somewhat because November is far away. Ummmm.. no, I wont, my husband wont, my co-workers and friends wont. We wont let each other forget. -stay united to keep fighting this obsurdity.

in the past but basically got mostly just remarks about it being too bad, and we will continue to fight, usually peppered with an insult to my intelligence or my values. It would be absolutely great if this could come about and we could all act like adults. Hopefully, your plea will not fall on deaf ears like mind did. Thanks for the great post.

You might find that you actually like the plan, and I believe you're an honest enough person to say so if that's what you find.

Unfortunately, for some people on this board, anything Obama does is bad, bad, bad, and they may not be able to recognize something that his actually helping them.

Either way, I agree with you that the constant arguing, bickering and name-calling should stop. We're all Americans. Obama campaigned on healthcare reform, it passed, and so he's speaking to the people who voted for him.

This plan may not be everything that everyone wants, but it's at least acknowledged as a LAW now, which it wasn't before, and it can be fixed and improved along the way.

For the most part, I don't think we're all that different (as someone else posted on this board) from each other. We want what's best for our families, we love America, and most of us are going through a difficult time right now. Maybe it's time to concentrate on those things we share, instead of constantly fighting about things we don't share. There's a way to communicate with each other that is respectful, even if we disagree, but it doesn't seem to be used often on this board.

As this plan progresses, I hope people who have good experiences with it will share those experiences on this board, but please, people, stop the vitriol and hatred, and let's try to treat each other as human beings with respect and dignity.

bickering, name calling, and bullying about who is possibly right or wrong on this problem! Everyone needs to get a grip on their emotions. The reason why I delete a post is if a poster is personally insulting another poster.
