You voted for Donald Trump

Posted: Dec 9, 2016

because you think he is going to be some kind of champion of the common man.  Look who he has picked for Secretary of Labor - a man who does not believe in any minimum wage, who does not think workers should be paid overtime and should they dare ask for these things threatens automation.  I wonder what it will take for you to realize that Trump is a con man.

;

So you are saying - me

Better to be paid $15 to flip burgers for the rest of your life? Better to get all those freebies via welfare, etc? Better to be supported by the government so they own you? I voted Trump and hope he turns this country around - look at Obama's cabinet picks - muslims and people like Loretta Lynch, who know nothing about justice. And no matter what any of his cabinet members believe, Trump will make the final call - just sayin.

There are some people so caught up in - hate, they cannot see straight

[ In Reply To ..]
The whole political system here is corrupt. The politicians appeal to the lowest IQ with promises to give free stuff and raise the minimum wage. That lowest IQ does not think it through that all things come at a cost to someone and it more than likely will come from the recipient of freebies sooner or later. All the politicians care about is getting votes by hook or crook and stay in power where they get real money from special interest groups.

I don't believe Trump is a person who accepts failure, needs approval or takes money from special interest groups.

Trump is not even president yet - Yet haters predict failure

I have been an MT for years. At one point, pre-India, I made $35 an hour working for Medquist. Once Medquist could outsource to India I took a HUGE cut in pay. Right now I am barely making minimum wage. I lost my home to foreclosure. This is all thanks to legislation created by crooked politicians who took money from big business to create laws to enable American companies to outsource American medical records to foreign countries.

What exactly do you predict that Trump could do worse than what has already done to our industry or any other industry for that matter.

Career politicians are crooks and I have had enough of that. It was time for a change and we got the change we wanted.

The Democrats have done NOTHING to help the struggling middle class. We have NOTHING TO LOSE with Trump. The man is a successful business person. I trust him over any crooked politician who takes bribes from the highest bidder for his vote to protect big bucks interests.

And anyone who could trust the queen of crooked pay for play is delusional. Look at her history.

Who in their right mind wishes a president to fail?

I was in the same situation as you - Hail Caesar

but fortunately for me I was able to retire when MM told me I was on 100% QA after 40 some years and had to take 3 cents per line. However, I disagree with you as to the cause of low wages in this industry. Hospitals now are mostly for profit corporations and demanded lower rates for transcription. MTSOs are for profit corporations and could only provide lower rates by sending the work offshore. Modern technology facilitated this. There will never be legislation preventing companies from sending work out of the country because the CEOs don't want it and they rule.

less dead on the other side.

The economy can get a whole lot worse for people like us....and I predict it will under Trump.

I certainly hope they figure out a way to reduce Social Security, Medicare and insurance coverage gradually. ACA is a mess. Absolutely ridiculous that it is costing upward of $1000 a month to insure a family, yet no pay increases, if not decreases. If you still have a copay, the insurance goes unused. Who can afford to pay the copay after the premiums are paid? It is all catastrophic insurance. Might as well cut to the chase and cover with catastrophic to begin with at the lower premiums....and hope for good health.

Don't tell me WHY I voted for Trump. - You DO NOT know why.

[ In Reply To ..]
But I'll tell you why...I voted for Trump because the alternative was a career criminal and pathological liar. That's why I voted for Trump.

Oh for goodness sakes - Hail Caesar

[ In Reply To ..]
You didn't have to take that personally. Lots of people voted for him for exactly the reason stated. If he were really interested in the worker he would not have picked the person he did for Secretary of Labor who, by the way, contributed over $300,000 to the Trump campaign. So much for not owing anything to anyone. Also, fact checkers have stated repeatedly that DT has lied more than any other candidate.

Trump - Hurray for Trump

So you would rather have someone like Killary whose detractors have mysteriously turned up dead, someone who managed to escape those email charges, someone who thinks she's above the law? You are something else.

Some people, Trump supporters, - still believe that

[ In Reply To ..]
"H"illary mysteriously killed people. That myth has long been proven wrong. There was nothing to escape on the email charges. For crying out loud, that was investigated loud and clear for a very long time and there was nothing there. This is what got Trump elected, the spreading of lies and people on the right believing them.

This is from Snopes so I'm sure it's not a "reliable" source for many but it is a pretty interesting read. Of course the conspiracy theorists will deny this and claim the Clinton's had people murdered.

I despised Bush but truly did not believe all the theories that were on social media or came through the emails about him either. I didn't like him for things he was doing as president but wouldn't stoop to spreading fallacies as the gospel truth.

Please stop spreading lies. There's no need to, your guy won.

Hillary lost because of the truth - investigated by FBI and bad decisions

[ In Reply To ..]
No one is spreading lies. The truth is bad enough. She is a very unpleasant person who made bad decisions with private server and Clinton Foundation pay-to-play.

She was the typical career politician who was funded by big business and wise people know if someone is pouring big bucks into a campaign, they expect favors in return. In real life, Hillary took bribes. In political double speak her campaign was funded by special interests who expected something in return. The middle class has had enough of people like Hillary who sold them out.
I am sure she - is not perfect
[ In Reply To ..]
but this right-winged fake news again is getting old and a big reason why Trump won. If you do a search for Clinton's pay for play, you will see right-winged news sites with one of them Breibart. Please post an independent site that "proves" this right-winged theory.

I am not a Trump supporter, but am not - convinced they are all lies

Pizza pedophiles---pretty questionable, or maybe I just cannot fathom it.

Benghazi--I don't hold HRC personally responsible for the actions that afternoon/evening, but the overall condition of security at the embassies falls somewhere in her purview.

I do hold her State department responsible for much of our foreign policy of aggression throughout the Middle East and Honduras.

I do think far too many people have come to untimely demise that have been related to the Clintons.

I do think she influenced the DNC to cheat her way through the primary because she think she deserved it.

I do think there may be something seriously wrong with her health and was concerned that if she were elected, she would not have been our actual president. (I felt that supported by her lack of campaigning in both the primary and the general and a variety of episodes of illness.

I do think both Rep and Dem cheated, rigged and stole as many votes as they could in the general, but in the end it is probably a wash as to who stole more.

I do not think that the electoral college should be overthrown because the Democrats lost---this time. If the system needs to be revamped due to populations and technology differences that we can actually have fair representation by a popular vote, then that needs to be introduced as a change in law and election process.

Have you been following events in Europe? - That is your future

[ In Reply To ..]
Globalists are not nice people. They have used Unity for the creation of the EU and now, take a look. No, really TAKE A LOOK AT SPAIN, FRANCE, GREECE, ITALY.

Is that what you want? If Trump is a globalist, we will know soon enough.

Globalism is the scam of the 21st century. And the entire global financial industry is destroying the USA through DEBT. Did you know the United Nations owns ALL National Parks after bankruptcy (set up to fail) in early 1900s? Not much said about it but it is true. Agenda 21? United nations again. And if they cared about our planet, an island of floating garbage the sizse of Texas in the Pacific would be a matter of concern. And did ya know there is an ongoing nuclear melt down in progress now since 2011 with hot particles flowing into the sea with hundreds of thousands of gallons of water used to cool the massive steel monster no one dares to go near? (I laugh when people want to protect sharks and tell us to stop swimming in "their ocean").

You people are suspect for this reason. Anyone with a brain cell knows this is the overthrow of the free world, elimination of the middle class and enslavement of white children. YES WHITE CHILDREN. You should work for CNN, ya'd fit right in as a propagandist, enemy of the state.

Minimum Wage - IBDKLBN

[ In Reply To ..]
There really should be no minimum wage...and esp. not one nearly as high as $15 bucks/hr. (Minimum wage jobs were never intended to be a living-wage job...they were meant for high school kids, college students, etc., as a means of getting some job experience as a springboard to ever-better, higher-paying jobs. The minimum wage, esp. when inflated, is a JOB KILLER. Wages in a healthy economy should be driven by that healthy economy. Have you noticed how many minimum wage jobs have been automated now with more and more talk about raising the minimum wage to a ridiculous level? It's a proven fact that, when the minimum wage goes up, minimum wage workers lose jobs. What good is that high minimum wage going to be to the workers who just lost their jobs as a result of a raise in that minimum wage that business owners can't afford (esp. now on top of oBaMacare concerns) Fifteen bucks an hour x 0 hours is still $0. And, even if the big operations, such as McDonalds, can afford to pay more, they are still obligated to increase earnings for their investors, and the increased costs for minimum wage increases will be passed onto to the consumer, and that extra money earned with minimum wage increases will be eaten up by higher costs of consumer goods. Now, when you reduce taxes, reduce regulations, and get the government out of the way and unleash the American people's "can do" attitude, the economy thrives and there will be a healthier relationship or ratio between jobs available, and workers available to fill those positions. Right now we have a glut of unemployed and too few jobs to fill. When we get that turned around to a healthy economy again, that ratio will be turned 180 degrees, and that is when you will see all wages go up in a healthier and common sense way, and that's why a minimum wage would not be needed, as workers would be in demand...not the vice versa we have today under our current oppressive, bloated government with its filthy, dirty hands in every aspect of our lives!

It was just reported this morning that Mr. Trump made his millions and millions by taking advantage of every tax break and loophole that he could.  That being said, what makes anyone think that if he became president he would get rid of these tax loopholes and make things fairer for the lower and middle class?  We are the ones that have been and are paying his share of taxes he should be paying.  What he is doing may be legal, but in my opinion it is morally offensive. ...
