Wondering if stuff like this makes libs

Bryn Mawr student says she dropped out after ridicule for backing Trump. I find this sad and disappointing. A young woman lets go of her dream because of bullying by fellow college students. ;

Yet liberals still believe they are the tolerance ones. - Colleges that don't protect their

Say, now, now children, don't oppose this young lady because she apparently has delicate sensibilities and cannot handle it? The college years are part of the growing up and maturing process. You learn about life and the big bad world out there.

I meant to give you a thumbs up but hit thumbs down. - I agree with your post...

bullied by opposition to her political choices, but why didn't she stand up for herself and Trump and soldier on? She did not have to leave but she made that choice herself. The college nor other students who disliked her candidate force her to leave. She left on her own. I sincerely hope she gets over this experience and is able to carry on and have a happy and productive life.

And yet college idiots who couldn't handle President Trump - see msg. - anon

election needed coloring books and puppies. Your post seems to indicate that you condone the type of behavior this young lady was subjected to and that, although it will sail right over your head, is exactly the point of the OP.

On the contrary...SM - Old Anon

where does my post say I condoned the treatment she encountered. It said she caved into it and left on her own accord instead of standing up for her candidate. In a way, she is a snowflake too, just like the young libs who supported Hillary are accused of being after she lost.

I can't feel too sorry for someone being bullied - for voting for Trump, who also bullies.

their candidate and curl up in a ball because of a "they're picking on me" attitude. Then come back with nasty hate posts against that person with nasty name calling et al. They are usually the first ones to post nasty remarks, yet they think they're the angels. Maybe they should start reading their own posts.

it's a shame how these "professors" have used their position to teach hate, but it's even worse now that it has trickled down to even the elementary schools and teachers.

It's sad.

Of course it does. After all, libs know nothing except bullying. - anon

I just cannot fathom how libs can live with themselves. They claim to be tolerant yet cannot handle differing opinions and will try to force their way upon everyone else. It's sick, really, but then I've found most libs to be sick, morally and spiritually sick, with a victim mentality and no sense of true tolerance and equality.

Liberals aren't spiritually/morally sick.sm - Anon

the way a representative democracy should work is one party proposes and the other party should listen, then either oppose or come to a consensus. The way it seems to work on this board is one party proposes and gets called names and is outright dismissed. The left does it to the right and the right does it to the left. There we all go, round and round, and nothing gets accomplished. It shouldn't be that way. Let the name calling cease, and we might have some sort of meeting of the minds one day.

We refuse to tolerate bigotry, racial hatred and profiling, and discrimination based on race, sex, religion, or personal preferences. You and I each have the right to our opinions and the right to express them. But if your opinion denies anyone a human right, then no, I will not tolerate you. I hate racism and I hate sexism. If you ascribe to those behaviors, I will not tolerate your speech or your actions that exemplify or support those -isms.

This young lady had some negative online comments directed toward her for ONE night, and already was calling the suicide hotline, and thereafter dropped out of school completely?
She was 18 and suffered from depression previously.
This is a girl who simply was not ready for college and was looking for an excuse to leave.

This girl lacked the coping skills of living independently in an environment where there are differing opinions, some of which aren't nice. To be suicidal after a few rude internet messages is not normal. She did not deserve bullying, but she was not FORCED out of college.

I mean, the man is half white, half black - so to regard him as being black is nothing BUT a choice, right?  Pick one from column A or one from column B - it's your CHOICE.  It is NOT factual to call Obama black, or to call him white for that matter.  But it does seem passing strange that no one in the press regards Obama as white.  Just by the laws of probability, you would expect that some would call him white and some would call him black.  I mean, if I showed 1 ...
