TWO MAJOR ASPECTS OF THE PAUL RYAN PLAN.....

Posted: Aug 13, 2012

Put all the social security taxes in Wall Street accounts and let Goldman manage your money – your benefits will be cut by 40%.

Take the Medicare taxes you paid and give them to "for profit" insurance companies – you get a voucher for about 60% of the current cost of your care.

And all you pubs are lining up to get on this bandwagon. Talk about drinking the Koolaid!!

And Romney says.... - (SM)

...he has his own plan! Do you think the tea-partiers are going to allow him to NOT go with Ryan's plan? After all, the tea party got all those folks into congress that will be in lock-step with Ryan....and they do NOT back down if they're not getting 100% of what they want.

Mitt Romney's body language, to me, made him look like the second name on the ticket during the "60 Minutes" interview. Ryan seemed a lot more confident and in control of the interview, even. Of course, that's just my opinion of what I watched. We all see what we want to see, apparently, judging by the "Obama's glare" thread below.

Usual Democrat lies and spin - Under Obama

Seniors on Medicare already losing 500-bill (conservative estimate) of the healthcare.

Nursing home, assisted living, extended care under Obama cut for seniors.

Under Obama, Medicare completely bankrupt in approximately 12 years. For those math challenged, under Obama, in approximately 12 years there WILL BE NO MEDICARE BECAUSE OF OBAMA, which is Obama's goal so he can push everyone onto Medicaid.

Under Obama, million pushed into Medicaid that currently carry private insurance.

ALL ABOVE DONE UNDER OBAMA TO FORCE SOCIALIZED MEDICINE AND HAVE COMPLETE GOVT. CONTROL OF HEALTHCARE FOR EVERY CITIZEN.

New Flash for those that want a link, go to CSPAN archives. Look up Obama's explanation for gutting Medicare and bankrupting it. You need a strong stomach and the Obama lovers will never view it. Those with a brain in their head already get it.

This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever read on MTStars. You have inspired me to volunteer for the Romney/Ryan campaign. Do you realize that what you have said has absolutely no factual basis whatsoever? The real truth is that in my area unemployment is at over 13% and half of the businesses if not more have closed since last year? Obama will go own in history as one of the WORST presidents ever. I would accept the next person walking down the sidewalk as president before I would ever consider voting for the present candidates. Ridiculous.

Ghost town. Houses have been on the market the ENTIRE TIME OBAMA in office and will not sell. Unemployment in my state higher than national average. Food prices through the roof, energy prices through the roof. Job prospectives through the FLOOR.

But heh, Obama and his got theirs...that's all Obama cares about. If Obama ever had to work for a living or break a sweat, he'd end up in the ER. Since taxpayers pay for his Cadillac healthcare, while Obama shoves us to the bottom of the heap on his crap arse plan, I'm sure Obama will see to it he is well taken care of at our expense.

Unemployment here is 4.2%. Should Obama take credit for that? nm - VTMT

If we don't have enough money in the budget for Social Security and Medicare to continue as is (and I don't necessarily disagree with that), where will the money come from for military spending and further tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations? You can't get blood out of a turnip.

If Romney wins, and ends up taxing us more and - giving the rich further breaks, -sm

I foresee a huge tax-revolt coming... the likes of which this country has never seen.

Revolt from who? The almost half of Americans - who pay NO taxes? Get real.nm

yourself to be middle class, expect your taxes to go up under Romney. The rich and corporations will see their taxes go down. The poor have no money. Where do you think the money will come from? The middle class. I just do not believe in "trickle down" economics.

Here's your answer - Try actually

Put aside the feigned helplessness and look for the facts. If a liberal wanted to smear Repbulican/Indys/Cons, they have no problem using the search bar.

Here's a freebie for you: News Flash, Ryan's plan was formulated using information from the Clinton, yeah repeat after me, Clinton (D) commission for entitlement reform. The Ryan plan was COSPONSORED by a Democrat from Oregon.

Now go ahead...cannot wait to see how you spin out of the Dem's contribution. Since you clearly do not understand bipartisanship, will wait to hear your head explode.

[ In Reply To ..]
for any budget going to come from? Sure, they can go ahead and tax the rich some more, but in reality, that money is only going to keep the govt running for about 9 days. The people who make under 200,000 are next and then those who make under 100,000 and then anyone who's left actually paying taxes, regardless of what you make.

Here's where I don't understand what congress is doing - they both have the right idea - they're going to have to raise taxes on everyone AND they're going to have to make spending cuts. The problem is no one wants to go home and tell thier constituents that they're going to have to pay more in taxes AND do without some of the government help. Once everyone realizes that we're in this boat together and we're ALL going to have to make sacrifices, that's when things will start to get better. I know Obama doesn't get that and I'm not sure if Romney gets it either.
