read your post. The republicans are the ones threatening to shut the government down, which will hurt a lot of people, and you want them to. I've not seen anything about a "massive tax" on middle Americans. I saw a slight increase on those making $250,000 or more. I wonder by the end of this post how big this massive tax will be. It's extremist House Republicans who are trying to blackmail the President by threatening the ACA, which Congress already PASSED. I have never been so disgusted with the lot of them. The republicans are trying to work with the democrats to come up with a system that is fair for EVERYONE! Democrats won't work with them. Ergo, the only "committee" debate Boehner's disingenuous suggestion would involve is Act III of TP Obamacare extortion.

Here's your bottom line. The dems had the votes to elect a health care reform candidate in 2008. They had the votes in 2010 to retain control of the Senate along with the WH, ie 2/3 of the legislative apparatus. They had the votes in 2012 to re-elect the architect of HCR and reaffirm OC. They have the favor of SCOTUS. They have the votes to pass the CR AND the long-term budget.

The terrorists do not have the votes, not even from their own fractured party. Period. In a democracy, no votes is a no-go. If you guys want to get rid of OC, first you are going to have to figure out how to win Senate and WH elections. Good luck with that.
