Bill passed 241-179 in the House. This is the one that will withhold certain funds and grants (not all funding) to sancutuary cities.
Hopefully, it will pass the Senate. After all, it's no wonder there are so many people who think they don't have to follow the laws of this contry when cities don't follow federal law and protect criminals.
Doesn't matter one little bit. It is a stand alone bill not attached to the budget. - State the obvious

[ In Reply To ..]do apply and do get grants every year. If this bill passes the Senate, it will keep money into the coffers because if you don't give grants, you aren't spending it. Might help the debt a bit unless Congress decides to spend it elsewhere.
Grants are used for a variety of city projects. It may not make sanctuary cities happy if they can't get their pet projects done without free government money.
