President Trump will forego the annual salary of $400K+

Posted: Nov 14, 2016

I also didn't know that he's never had a sip of alcohol in his life.

...and said "I don't think I'll be taking very many vacations. I have too much work to do."  (Obama racked up $millions in vacay cost to the taxpayer, and the only work he ever did was ramming through one big piece of rotten socialist legislation, lying to the American people, bowing to foreign potentates, surrendering Iraq to ISIS, sending $billions to the world's worst state sponsor of terrorism, killing the energy industry, signing unconstitutional executive orders and yelling "Fore!".)

I like this guy Trump more and more with every passing day.  America is VERY lucky to have him as our next President.

I heard he plans a 4-day week for himself. - sm

I hope he doesn't tie up a lot of Secret Service time running to Scotland and Florida on his business/golf ventures. Oh wait, I don't think he is supposed to be running a business while president. Another thing we will see about, eh?

I guess haters gotta hate and losers gotta lose. - nm

He also is entitled to a lifetime pension, which I don't think he - will take. 400,000 x 4 is a lot

Trump is not taking the presidential pay because if he did he would have to show his tax returns.

Let's see what's wrong with that theory. - sm

[ In Reply To ..]
He IS still taking $1, and he has not said he won't accept the reimbursement for his job-related expenses that all Presidents receive, so even if he owes no taxes he would still have to file a return - and no doubt will do so.

HA! never had a sip of alcohol.... - LMT

and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can sell you or how about some ocean front property in Arizona I can sell you too. No way on this Earth I believe that he has never had a "sip of alcohol" Puleez...

What you believe doesn't really matter very much - now does it?

[ In Reply To ..]
All of us believe things that aren't true and disbelieve things that are true. In either case, what we happen believe doesn't make spit's worth of difference - unless we get all puffed up and forget that we might be wrong.

In this case, you don't know Mr. Trump, so you don't have any personal knowledge of you're talking about and I'll just put it down to Trump-hating.

ah but you are wrong... - LMT

I dont hate Trump, hate is such a strong word. Don't like the guy, don't believe his lies, yea...but hate...nope. I sure as heck am smarter than to believe he has never had a sip of alcohol...that is such a bold face lie it is unreal. For anybody to claim they have never had a sip of alcohol apparently was never a teenager... All those social functions and he never had a sip of alcohol...LIE. Not even a toast at his numerous weddings...LIE. I'm just hoping we can get thru the next 4 years intact. BTW ...I'm sure you don't know him personally either. It's not knowledge...its common sense to know beter than to believe that.
Appeal to "common sense" is impoverished thinking. - It often is neither.
[ In Reply To ..]
So many things have been considered to be "common sense" that proved not to be that I really wouldn't advise arguing from that ground. (Besides, "common sense" is just a special case of "beliefs", so you're getting yourself into a circular argument there.)

People who DO know Mr. Trump well have reported this, by the way, and no one has come forward to dispute it.

And, since I myself happen to know many people who have never once had a drink of alcohol in their entire lives, there's nothing about the assertion that violates common sense at all.

As I said, what you "believe" or what you think is "common sense" doesn't matter in the least.
come down off your pedastal of thinking high and mighty please. - LMT

Is it just because you don't have any? yadda, yadda, yadda.... I matter to me and my family and that is all that matters. Have a nice day.

appeal to common sense is impoverished thinking...oh ok...good one tho..NOT.

You forgot one of BO's accomplishments. - Naming HRC as SOS.

But what difference at this point does it make?

LOL.

Long Live Trump!!

Blah, blah, blah - focused

W Bush took almost as many vacays as Obama and Obama needed them as he was cleaning up after W's mess. Obama also did not take the presidential salary for your information. Such ignorance on drumpt ally.

I'm still confused, what is a drumpf? Is that code for - Dump Trump? Maybe us drumpfs

[ In Reply To ..]
can blame BO for everything now. We had a good teacher for the last 8 years. Pass the buck instead of the buck stops here.

Trump - no salary? - me myself

JFK took no salary or more truthfully donated his salary to a recognized charity. Hitler took no salary either. Save the rhetoric .. I am stating a mere fact. Don't like it - delete it.

I Choose To Believe In President TrumpJan 26, 2017
I just heard the tail end of his speech to Republicans in Philadelphia. I have been and am still inspired by his words. I believe he has America's best interests at heart. Go ahead and flame me if you feel the need. This is a man who doesn't need the money. I am electing to have faith in his words. I look at the men and women standing alongside him and I know my decision is right. There will be bumps and bruises, there always are, but I know that America will be great again. ...

Write To President Trump!Jan 25, 2017
I urge all MTs to write to President Trump at the White House about your MT situation.  He needs to start meeting with the heads of hospital systems and bring our acute care and radiology transcription positions back to the hospitals in the United States.  Dictation is being sent offshore and then brought back to the United States - hospitals need to be held accountable just like the automobile, manufacturing, and tech companies.  Many hospitals used to allow us to work from home. ...

It's The Democrats, Not President Trump Who Are Insane. Feb 14, 2017
presidency, and the left is already questioning President Donald Trump’s mental health. Of course, it’s an effort to delegitimize the new president, and, quite frankly, isn’t very original. Hillary Clinton made her entire campaign about Mr. Trump’s temperament and fitness for office. Politico ran a story in October titled: “Could America elect a mentally ill president?” And Mr. Trump still won. Nevertheless, Democrats are at it again, desperately trying to convince the people ...
