Paul Ryan's eyes -- seriously....

Am I the only one who thinks there is something seriously off about Paul Ryan's eyes? Years ago, I read that when the whites of the eyes show below the irises, it's an indication of something--I can't remember quite what, but I think it was a negative thing. That look has always given me a bit of a chill. I believe some thyroid conditions cause a similar look, so maybe that's it.

What I can't fathom is anyone thinking he's attractive (and some liberals think so too). To me, he looks like Ichabod Crane (pre-Johnny Depp, lol). Definitely not my type.

Paul Ryan is one of the few trying to tell the American people of the seriousness of the federal spending situation -- truth to power. He is one of the very good guys up there. His eyes indicate high intelligence and integrity.

...that federal spending and our economic future is very serious business, I have to respectfully disagree that those eyes indicate "intelligence and integrity." Paul Ryan may or may not have both of those attributes, but there is just something about eyes like his that indicate, to me, something false behind them....I've always felt that that look is more one of hiding something. Sorry, but that's my opinion and gut feeling.

I believe a persons eyes can tell a lot about them. I've always thought Obama has shifty and mean eyes. I get that same feeling of hiding something. Clintons eyes are like that too, but hers is more of a look like there is something void behind them. Rahm, Biden, Pelousy. All have a mean look to their eyes, but almost like they are missing something. There is no kindness.

I will agree with the poster you replied to. Mr. Ryan's eyes do indicate a level of intelligence and integrity. Not only his eyes, but the fact that he is one of the few good guys trying to actually help us (the unimportant folk to the democrats and other congress people who are not helping us). Mr. Ryan has beautiful eyes and a kindness about his face that is genuine. He has what we call a kind soul.

And those are my opinions and feelings.

My original post only mentions Paul Ryan's eyes, but another poster mentions a whole list of Democrats who have these "shifty, mean, unkind" eyes...making that seem totally skewed by one's political leanings. We're apparently pretty lacking with respect to being able to work together as Americans without political viewpoints coloring everything for some, which is very disappointing.

Your opinions and feelings are just as valid as mine or anyone else's....I didn't (and wouldn't) say they aren't.

I agree that it is interesting that different people can see the same thing and interpret it differently.

Your post talked about his eyes. My post also talked about eyes and what I see in a persons eyes. I know exactly what it was you were trying to say in your OP about people with scleral show.

My post spoke about different eyes and what I see in a persons eyes. I think Ryan has beautiful eyes. I also think Orlando Bloom and Jude Law have beautiful eyes too.

I do think Obama has mean eyes as do the other ones I mentioned. I also think Angelina Jolie has mean eyes (and a few others too that are just void of something I can't quite put my finger on). Kindness I guess.

My post was about Paul Ryans eyes and what I see in people's eyes. I find Paul Ryan's eyes to be kind and sincere, which is not surprising as he has a kind soul.

I didn't mention anything about Americans not being able to work together. That would be for a whole new post. My post was talking about eyes (which is what your post was about too).

Nobody said yours or anyone's feelings were invalid, I was just replying with my opinion and feelings and what I see in peoples eyes.

Everyone sees something different in everyone. You see something sinister because of what? The way someone looks because of something he was born with, trying to make him out to be sinister. Was waiting for the usual "he's the antichrist" attack.

Maybe people should stick to issues and not focus on the way someone looks. Especially when someone is born a certain way.

Sometimes you can tell by looking at someone's eyes through them and can see a good natured spirit and some, a nasty evil spirit known as spiritual warfare.

Scleral show. It can either be congenital (a condition present at birth) or could be from a previous surgery. It is a common condition that affects many people. There is an old Japanese superstition that people with this condition have early deaths, but luckily they have never proven this.

Other people with this condition was JFK, Marilyn Monroe, and James Dean.

It doesn't bother me about his beautiful blue eyes, that and the fact that he is hot!

He probably has tired eyes from reading all those hundreds of pages of legislation. He was one of the few congressmen who has actually read ObamaCare and knows what's in it. And he did that before voting against it.

Just my opinion, but I think Chris Christie would be better off finishing his term as governor and then running in the next election - I like him, but it's just too soon for him.
