of Eisenhower's 800. President Obama is one in 15 out of the last 18 presidents to take advantage of Ike's WH South Lawn putting green legacy.

You're right. Some people don't understand - that activity can be a form of meditation.

I will say that Eisenhower did not have to worry so much as Obama does back then.

I would not compare his 800 to Obama's number. Of course, Eisenhower would not have gone to play golf like Obama has if he had the problems on his plate that the president doesn't want and doesn't feel the need to stick around for.

Not leadership at all. Eisenhower was a general and he knew leadership.

You're kidding, right? Ike golfed whenever and - wherever he pleased

[ In Reply To ..]
He golfed his way through the entire Cold War, his Operation Wetback immigration crisis, federal troops deployment to Little Rock Arkansas, the polio epidemic, the U-2 crisis. You name it. Regardless of what was going on around him, Ike was never far from his clubs and course. Ike is THE presidential golfing poster boy. One of his first acts after taking office was installing his famous putting green. Presidents golf. Get over it.

golf, or bike-riding, or long walks, or whatever, enables one's brain to sift through all the information and problems that have been fed into it, and often enables the person to not only deal with the stress, but also to make better decisions. Not to mention that some golf outings include others that the Prez is dealing with. Many, many business, political, humanitarian, and other decisions are often facilitated by a round of golf. Republican Presidents played golf too. Or went horseback riding. Or drove tractors. The higher-pressure the job, the more short respites such as that are needed just to stay healthy and sane.

I've never begrudged a Republican President his needed times of R&R, and it's not fair to do the same to a Democratic President, either. No matter what party they are, they're all human and need a break from the job.

He doesn't even know what the issues are - - unless he watches the news

You don't like links because you say they're embedded with a virus. Now we tell you where to look and you don't want to do that either. Ok, keep your blinders on or stay in the sand, but the truth is that the president has, in fact, admitted to getting his information from watching the news. He has said it repeatedly. Just because it's unpleasant for you to hear the truth doesn't mean that it's not the truth.
No, we would not be surprised - Right wing talking points
[ In Reply To ..]
Generate multiples of Google hits off one wrong talking point. They never seem to worry if it's true or not.

Just because Google has lots of hits, where US politics (because our media is allowed to lie and still call itself news - not legal in most enlightened nations) is concerned, it don't mean a thing.
I think most of them don't really know how to - properly do Internet searches.

Just go to the leftwing rags to find out what's on the daily docket, or turn on MSLSD to hear what those buffoons are talking about. That's where to go for legitimate info.

How Obama Is Scheming To Sabotage Trump's Presidency.Feb 14, 2017
“heartened” by anti-Trump protests, he was sending a message of approval to his troops. Troops? Yes, Obama has an army of agitators — numbering more than 30,000 — who will fight his Republican successor at every turn of his historic presidency. And Obama will command them from a bunker less than two miles from the White House. In what’s shaping up to be a highly unusual post-presidency, Obama isn’t just staying behind in Washington. He’s working behind the scenes to set up what ...

The Most Important Wiileaks- How Wall Street Built The ObamaNov 18, 2016
Perhaps the most startling discovery of the WikiLeaks dumps so far didn't come from the most recent emails surrounding the various Hillary scandals, though there are many great ones, but from 2008 when John Podesta served as co-chair of President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team. The email came from Michael Froman, a former Citibank executive, who single-handedly built the entire cabinet of what was supposed to be the "main street" President. Just remember this when the MSM ...

Hillary Clinton Seeks U.S. Presidency -- Three Reasons To Say 'No'Apr 14, 2015
No doubt, millions will discard objectivity and project their hopes for the future on the public persona of Hillary Clinton, as it will be carefully constructed by professional political strategists and public relations experts, all funded by the billion dollars plus that the Clinton brand will attract through its fundraising apparatus. I plan on watching, but my vote is already decided.  I don't expect, however, to hear any real ideas or specifics from either side - it seems that it's usually a live campaign commercial.  Every once in a while someone gets in a good one-liner, but it's just usually attacks, rebuttels, and questionable facts and figures. Communism, by the way, is not really a type of government — communism describes a future classless society which results from socialism. There has never been a communist human society… yet… Because the word “socialism” is often abused by the major media-outlets, it is hard to explain the idea behind socialism without clearing the table by emphasizing what socialism is not: Socialism is not a type of government Socialism is not sh ...
