North Korea tells foreigners to leave South Korea to avoid thermo-nuclear war

Posted: Apr 9, 2013

Getting more and more unstable. With an unstable dictator at the helm taking orders from the generals, this may turn into WWIII. Thankfully, they are not as equipped as the rest of the world but their soldiers can do a lot of harm before being stopped. NK is very serious about doing harm to the west and SK. Japan is being forced to protect themselves just in case of a missle launch that goes awry like the other ones did. Alaska and Guam are also being protected by our missles.

North Korea said Tuesday the Korean peninsula was headed for "thermo-nuclear" war and advised foreigners in South Korea to consider evacuation, in the latest in a series of apocalyptic threats.

It followed a similar warning issued last week to foreign embassies in its capital Pyongyang to consider evacuating by April 10, saying it could not ensure the safety of their personnel if a conflict broke out.

"The situation on the Korean Peninsula is inching close to a thermonuclear war," the North's Asia-Pacific Peace Committee said in a statement carried by the North's official Korean Central News Agency.

Saying it did not want to see foreigners in South Korea "fall victim", the statement requested all foreign institutions, enterprises and tourists "to take measures for shelter and evacuation in advance for their safety".

The committee blamed the heightened war risk on the "warmongering US" and its South Korean "puppets" who were intent on invading the North.

I feel so bad for the North Korean people. - sm

North Korea has spouted off so many threats in the past that I have no idea whether they truly have any intention at all of actually doing anything. They're like an out of control toddler trying to test it's power with its parents.

But most of all, I feel terrible for North Koreans. I can't imagine the propaganda and fear they live with. It's awful. :(

i feel bad for them too but mostly, they've grown up - Truthhurts

believing that the west is "out to get them" so they are behind this dictator full force. They don't know any better since they really don't get any outside news. It's a small world there and the people are starving, while "fatso" lives the high life. Bet he doesn't even know his people are starving. If he does, then he's just as cruel as his father was....and I have to say that Dennis Rodman had NO business being over there and being buddy-buddy with him. Maybe he should just move there since they got along so well.

Dennis Rodman is just a nutcase looking for - shock value. nm

Here we go again! Hopefully, tensions will cool. This is a long article (4 pages).   North Korea threatened Saturday to mount a powerful nuclear response to upcoming joint U.S.-South Korean military drills, calling the exercises an "unpardonable" provocation on top of wrongly blaming Pyongyang for the sinking of a South Korean warship. WASHINGTON (August 8, 2017) — North Korea may have successfully produced a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside its missiles, passing a key threshold in becoming a full-fledged nuclear power, according to a Japanese defense paper and a U.S. media report. The U.N. Security Council this weekend slapped its toughest sanctions yet on North Korea over its latest test of a ballistic missile that could be used to deliver a nuclear weapon. How Thanksgiving Dinner Differs From North To South...Nov 10, 2009
I live in the south.  How does Thanksgiving dinner differ from the northern states to the sourthern ones?  From east to west?  Here in the south we have the usual turkey like everyone does.  We have the cornbread dressing (stuffing), chicken and dumplings, veggies, no steamed ones though, we don't eat much steamed veggies around here.  They are boiled with meat seasoning such as bacon or ham, etc.  We have the broccoli casserole.  We also have baked ham.& ...

Foreigners Sales Tax Exempt?Feb 25, 2014
My daughter just got a part-time job at a local store that is owned by a group of foreigners that own just about everything in town.  They gave her a tax exempt card that they told her was her personal card and she could use it on anything she so chose.  They even told her how much money she could save on taxes when she gets ready to buy a car.  I am VERY confused.  I mean, I thought only state agencies or charity organizations were sales tax exempt.  Anyone know what pe ...

Including one of those lovely "renewal" letters which is totally dishonest! Honestly, disgusting. From the article: "This is a great example of the kind of consumer abuses that are typical of the insurance industry, and they're supposed to stop under the ACA," Ethan Rome, executive director of Health Care For America Now, a pro-Obamacare advocacy group, told TPM. "In this case, they're trying to get in just one more abuse." ...

Avoid The Restrooms At Target. Better StillApr 21, 2016
It doesn't matter what position you take about transgender issues - it is NOT a good idea to allow people to choose whatever restroom they happen to prefer.  Target has NO way of knowing that the man who chooses the women's restroom is truly transgender, rather than being a predator with an entirely different purpose in mind. This is an unsafe world.  You NEED, and HAVE A RIGHT to know who is in the next stall. For this incredibly naive move, I've sent Target a message ...

Nuclear Fallout/FBMar 18, 2011
So, I've been obsessing over what's going on in Japan because my sister-in-law's family live about 200 miles from where the big stuff happened and we're worried.  I found an interesting and informative news article about the radiation cloud already having reached California and a real-time map showing the progression of the cloud.  It was just kind of a FYI thing, mostly for my sake, but since the rest of my family is following the news too, we have another too ...

Why Are The Russian Threats Of Nuclear War Receiving So LittleOct 14, 2016
It might be that Putin is bluffing, of course, but if so it would seem very foolish on his part if he had to back down - and I don't think he'd paint himself into that kind of a corner. He's not a fool. Even so, it still shouldn't be a back-page story IMHO, because this goes along with the polls showing that the Russian populace has been "educated" by their government to believe that the United States is their greatest enemy. We haven't had this kind of overt ...

Study:Chicago Criminals Avoid Gun Stores, Shows,Aug 31, 2015
As for specifics regarding sources for purchasing guns, some of the inmates indicated that gangs have individuals with a Firearm Owners Identification Card who buy guns then sell them to gang members. Others indicated using “corrupt cops” who seize guns then “put them back on the street.” The inmates made clear they do not walk into gun stores to buy guns. Which proves a point Breitbart News, Gun Owners of America, and other gun rights groups have made for years; namely, that backgro ...
