Here is an easy fix for the economy.

Let's take away the tax-exempt status from religious organizations.  Imagine how much revenue that would provide!  Problem solved!

You think THAT will pay for all of Obama's trillions of dollars of debt he is putting us in? The way you take care of our economy is for government to butt out!!

Government should NEVER be doing what it is doing right now and it has been far too involved in our lives for a very long time now. Obama is just pushing the decline of our free society faster than ever now.

The easy fix has NOTHING to do with government, which amazes me that you don't know that. You actually think paying MORE taxes is the answer. MORE taxes = MORE government! We do not need more government. By all means, explain to me why we need bigger government again and how religious organizations paying taxes is going to fix this mess our government has put us in?

Remember, GOVERNMENT is the problem, not religious organizations. By all means, explain to me what a religious organization ever did to you that COST YOU money?! At what point in your life were you FORCED to pay money to a religious organization?!!

Has a religious organization ever FORCED you to buy something just because you breath every day?

Like all businesses...religious organizations should be taxed! - Charo

Maybe you would like to explain to me why they should be exempt from paying taxes?

Yep, let's go after big old bad religion 'cause Obama's about - to run after people to go after!! NM

Then we should go after non-profit organizations too? - Right?

US Economy Shrinks 0.1 Pct.,Jan 30, 2013
WASHINGTON (AP) — The U.S. economy unexpectedly shrank from October through December for the first time since 2009, hurt by the biggest cut in defense spending in 40 years, fewer exports and sluggish growth in company stockpiles. The drop occurred despite stronger consumer spending and business investment. The Commerce Department said Wednesday that the economy contracted at an annual rate of 0.1 percent in the fourth quarter. That was a sharp slowdown from the 3.1 percent growth rate in t ...

Economy Lifestyle Changes? Jul 07, 2013
Has anyone changed their lifestyle to accommodate the downturn of the economy?   Just wondered if it was just me.  I don't drive as much.  My thermostat is switched on to 79 in the summer and during the winter I don't have the heat on at night.   Haven't had a new car in years, driving a 2001 Toyota that should be replaced.  Buying generics at grocery if brand names aren't on sale. What if anything have you done to spend less?    ...

The first isn't true unless you replace jobs with profits. The second is just a lie. And the third isn't true unless you replace small businesses with billionaires. ("Repl ...

IMF Says Sequester Hurting U.S. EconomyJun 15, 2013
IMF Says Sequester Hurting U.S. Economy, Delaying Recovery As much as half of U.S. economic growth this year has been slashed due to tax increases and indiscriminate federal spending cuts known as sequestration, according to a sobering new forecast by the International Monetary Fund, which urged lawmakers to repeal the cuts. Risks to U.S. growth are "modestly tilted to the downside," the IMF said in its annual report on the nation's economy, as a reduction of $85 billion in government exp ...

As usual, the Henny-Penny-sky-is-falling republicans are insisting that the economy is in the tank because of a weak GDP.  Most economists have already recognized that the terrible winter we had is the cause. Really Fast Easy RecipeJun 03, 2011
I have a really easy, quick recipe.  It's sort of Sloppy Joes, but my own version.  Brown chopped meat in a skillet.  Add seasoned salt, onion powder, a hint of garlic powder, and black pepper and stir around.  Throw in some chunks of Velveeta cheese and stir until cheese is melted all through.  Serve on bun of your choice.  You can use regular American cheese, but the Velveeta tends to melt easier and clean up in the pan easier. ...
