HYPOCRISTY OF LIBERALS CONTINUES

While this board was loaded with comments against Chik and Mr. Cathy several days ago, regarding his position on marriage, very, very little has been said about the liberal gay rights activist who enterd Family Research Council and began shooting. The liberal gay-rights activist had 15 Chik-Fil-A in his back pack along with rounds of ammunition. After shooting up the place, severely injuring a family man at work, the liberal gay-rights activist asked that he not be shot and said he did not want to be hurt. When Chik-Fil-A comments dominated this board and the news, protesters were rampant about what should be done to Mr. Cathy, how dare Mr. Cathy support traditional marriage and give millions of his dollars to feed the homeless and children, never asking their sexual orientation, people on this board were tripping over each other to post one comment after another how horrible Mr. Cathy was because he would support gay marriage. Some of the comments were down right disgusting and hateful. Gay-rights supporters went on and on and on about how wicked it was for Mr. Cathy to voice his opinion and how "hateful" Mr. Cathy was.

Well there you have it folks. This board has spoken loud and clear what is acceptable: If you are a gay-rights activist, you can go to a private business, shoot it up, then beg for your mercy for yourself while extending none to the people you are shooting at, disrupt the business of a private enterprise because you do not care for their religious beliefs, berate and verbally harass employees of any religious private business, disrupt other paying customers and supporters of those businesses, and the hate speech against anyone not supporting their POV is acceptable (not to mention their disgusting behavior).

If you are a religious organization, donating your personal funds to Christian charities, live your faith beliefs, someone can come to your business or home, physically harm or kill you, say anything they want no matter how vile or dehumanizing, and it is called freedom of speech. Barely a blurb in the LSM and liberal news stations (most completely eliminating the fact the guy was a gay right activist carrying 15 Chik-Fil-A sandwiches with his ammo) and even a smaller blurb on this board.

Pretty clear who the hypocrites are, and which group truly values life.

I'm not really sure what the point of your post is. It looks to me like you're just ranting about the content of posts on the board, again, instead of the issues themselves. But while we're on the subject, most of the conversation about the whole Chik-Fil-A thing was centered around a woman's right to choose, not Cathy himself.

One thing I don't understand though is why this "liberal gay right activist" would be carrying Chik-Fil-A sandwiches with the ammo. Given his political stance, I wouldn't think he was buying them to support Chik-Fil-A, and unless he planned to share with a friend, that was a lot of sandwiches. The only thing I can come up with is that he must have planned to sammich folks after he shot them?

The problem I have with the OPs message is her calling dems hypocrites because we didn't post something condemning this "liberal gays rights activist's" actions. I know it is really hard for the far right wing to believe that dems for the most part believe in nonviolence, but it is true. I see no hypocrisy. No one was stopping the OP from posting herself regarding the shooting. Why was it the dems' job to bring the subject up? I for one am waiting for more information but in no way endorse the shooter's actions. As usually happens in these cases, he will probably be declared incompetent to stand trial. To have all those sandwiches from a company you hate in your backpack sounds pretty unbalanced to me.

that is not at all what the Chick-Fil-A thing was about. It was about Cathy being a Christian and being against gay marriage. Now this Christian organization had a lunatic carying Chick-Fil-A sandwiches come in with 50 rounds of ammunition, this Christian organization who has been called a "hate group" which they are not, and it's barely covered on the LSM. They prove (liberals) everyday that if you don't think in lockstep with them, you are full of hate. I don't know where you came up with it being about a woman's right to choose. a post before you just start crying foul. Since the main topic of the OP seems to be the content covered on this board, that is what I was responding to. I'm not disputing what the Chik-Fil-A disaster was about, I'm simply pointing out where the conversation ON THIS BOARD went with this topic.

Let me start by saying that I am what you would consider a "liberal gay rights activist," and the fact that a man was shot and injured for doing nothing more than going to work is horrible, and my thoughts go out to him and his family. This is not something that I – and others – would consider acceptable, and being accused of that is insulting (which I'm sure you were aiming for, so good job). Using this incident to just get another dig in at those who have different political views than you is bottomfeeding as well.

You seem to have gone back and thoroughly reviewed the posts made about Chick-Fil-A and tuned in on all the responses that you found outrageous; however, you seemed to have conveniently skipped the parts where people stated that the problem that they have with Mr. Cathy is basically this: He can believe whatever he wants. It's a free country. If he wants to scream and carry on that he believes in traditional marriage, whatever. That's awesome, and I hope it makes him feel great to say it (meanwhile, he could just walk around with his wife because it's legal for him to get married, so I really don't get it). When he uses his money to try to limit the rights of the LGBT community... it aint gonna fly. Sorry. And we have a right to say something about it. The problem that the liberal gay rights activists (FYI not everyone supportive of gay rights is liberal) have is the fact that HE IS TAKING THE MONEY HE EARNS FROM CHICK-FIL-A AND DONATING TO ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE ACTUALLY HARMFUL TO THE LBGT COMMUNITY. Why in the world would anyone who is gay or anyone who loves someone who is gay or anyone that just believes that it is wrong to try to harm someone and discriminate based on their sexual orientation spend their money at a business that will turn around and donate that same money to these HATEFUL (appropriately used in this case) groups? Why?

1. Family Research Council is a lobbying organization. One of their many wonderful goals is to deny the LGBT community equal rights. They are listed as a HATE GROUP by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Believe it or not, it DOES describe the shooting incident; however, you may not want to read it because you may be severely traumatized over the fact that it does not list how many Chick-Fil-A sandwiches the shooter had with him. Please try to take note that it does state "A joint statement was issued by 25 LGBT groups condemning the shooting," so I'm sure you can look into that and make sure that the liberal gay rights activists don't support this nutjob's actions.

This is where the American Family Association boycotted "Homo Depot" for their LBGT-friendly policies. Somehow I get the feeling that, even though it basically the same thing that the gay liberal activists did with Chick-Fil-A, it's perfectly acceptable in this case.

How someone can actually believe this is not a political story and is just a comment on other posts really needs to get out and get some fresh air. Same posters that make those statements slam posters on here all the time, post nonstop day and night about the "contents" of other posts, and more often then not has no political content in their posts, just criticism of other posters.

How much has Romney paid in INCOME taxes over the last 5 years? What's his state of residence? Surely you know he has been caught in a bold faced lie about that don't ya? What does Romney plan to cut in order to give tax cuts to the wealthy? What's the voucher Medicare plan and how does it work? Why does the R&R budget cut just as much from Medicare as Obama? How long will it take Romney to balance the budget? (Last I heard it was 3 decades).

and I refuse to do your research for you. I don't need to know what he paid in income taxes over the last 5 years. The voucher Medicare plan has been well explained. The R&R plan does NOT cut from Medicare. If you really try, you can find answers to your questions. You've had a President for 4 years now, and you can't even tell us how he managed with a mother on food stamps, - yeah, right - to pay for college and trips to Pakistan and Indonesia.

Yes,I did know about the Pell grants. People who want to go to college need to pay for their own. I'm sick of paying for those too lazy, or those who have made poor choices. People need to start paying their own way again, I know that's a foreign concept to liberals.
