This was phenomenal - THANK YOU!! - Conservative

I am so glad I checked this out on my break; it was well worth it. America truly is exceptional and I get so tired of hearing Obama/Biden/liberals trash us. This video was so heart warming and the American scenes are breathtaking. It reminds you of all the blessings and freedoms we have in this country that others under questionable governments/regimes will never experience. This video far surpasses what I thought it was going to be and I cannot thank you enough for posting this. When I get a chunk of time off, I plan on going back and reading each of the categories listed. THANKS AGAIN AND GOD BLESS YOU!

Refreshing - anon

Finally, Occupy's anthem in words.and music. - - HYSTERICAL COMPARISON

[ In Reply To ..]
Especially since the OWS pigs are featured no where in video. Yeah, we all get it...you love OWS and the commies behind it. What a distortion you post is.

It's not about the pigs, dear. - It's all about message.

[ In Reply To ..]
Bible Belt Patriots inadvertently co-opted OWS message, probably because they didn't know what they were doing. They were too busy calling their fellow citizens "pigs." BTW, did you personally interview all the singers? How did you go about determining there was not a single occupier among them? Oh, silly me. Never mind. ***
well said - nm
[ In Reply To ..]
BTW dear - stop lying about what posters wrote - AND OWS are PIGS
[ In Reply To ..]
Did YOU interview each and every singer to find out if they were from the Tea Party. OP NEVER SAID THERE WERE NO OWS IN THE VIDEO - ***
Making stuff up - sm
[ In Reply To ..]
Was OWS mentioned in the two previous posts she replied to? Check. Were teabaggers mentioned in her or any posts in the thread before yours? Nope. The OWS comment was logical, considering the comment sequence. The one you pulled out of your head....not even, but attempting to twist the original content via repetitious echo is to be expected when the reply fails to add anything of value.

right to free assembly - remember that one?

[ In Reply To ..]
What a disheartening post. Our right to free assembly is guaranteed us by the first amendment. There is nothing communist about it. People who seek involvement with their government are not pigs.
Your memory seems pretty faulty - Too bad you don't extend
[ In Reply To ..]
your feigned concern and "disheartenend post" in defending the Tea Party, or defending the Catholic Church and other entities being forced to pay for government funded abortions and birth control. Everything communist about some of these posters on here. Your "disheartened" air rings false unless you're willing to give that consideration to everyone with a different POV than you. BTW - OWS nothing but a bunch of illegal, law-breaking thugs. NOTHING patriotic about the filth, crime and destruction OWS leaves in their wake with Soros' blessing...the godfather of *** Obama.
let's review - ...
[ In Reply To ..]
You want to tell ME to give consideration to everyone with a different POV than mine? You might want to consider doing the same before hurling invective.

OWS is no more a "bunch of illegal, law-breaking thugs" than the Tea Party is a bunch of redneck bible thumpers. One must not generalize, you know. But calling the *** president of the United States an *** is pretty darned offensive, and I don't think it has anything to do with your "point of view".

I remain dishearted.
Let's review further - ...
[ In Reply To ..]
You can read the post again if you're unclear about what was written.

Here's the review of what repubs, indys and conervatives have been called:

Liars, wingnuts, extremists, (sexual terms I will not print), crazy, evil, stupid, ignorant, fat, dumb..and that's only about 10.

Take a look at the arrest records for OWS thugs. Takes a look at Tea Party arrest record...oh wait, there is none since none have been arrested.

AND THEN YOUR RACIST CARD WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS. Try actually looking up what an "imperial" president is. Has absolutely nothing to do with race, but we all know how the few on this board love to pull out the race card and throw it when they have no POV. DO NOT CARE HOW OFFENSIVE YOU THINK IT IS. Pull the tree branch out of your own eye before working on the splinter in
someone elses'....disheartening indeed!

Now go get yor Webster's and review further "Imperial" ...a term also ued to describe Nixon...To review further...what color was Nixon...Oh wait, he was white!! Now look up "wizard"; absolutely no mention of race there either.

To review even further...all racist connections exist solely in your mind and the minds of those obsessed with judging people based on color only. DISHEARTENING INDEED!!!
I prefer to look at how the OWS 99% message - has taken root and

become the cornerstone of the 2012 campaign.

Don't think so. It was performed at a party celebrating - President Obama's imminent inauguration

[ In Reply To ..]
hosted by Norman Lear, who produced the tune he commissioned Keith Carradine to write as part of his Declare Yourself initiative. This was a nonpartisan, nonprofit voter registration campaign targeting 18-29 year-old voters. According to Amazon, the song's official release date was Feb 17, 2009. I only did a brief search. Are you aware of an earlier release I missed?

Though both Lear and Carradine are diehard libs, Born Again American was intended to appeal to values and sentiments shared by ALL Americans, as in one united, inclusive group. The spats over whose message it is, though not in keeping with their original intent, indicate they succeeded in that endeavor.

Sure OWS will highjack that video just like - they "take" whatever they want from

[ In Reply To ..]
whomever they want. Too much to ask that OWS actually do something valuable on their own without Soros or the unions or the commies backing them.

it's hard to see the name of the movement as - nonreligious

[ In Reply To ..]
A more inclusive name might engender more broad-based interest. Thus, I can only conclude that the moniker was chosen for a reason and is used purposefully.

Born And Raised?Jun 29, 2010
How many of you were born, raised, and continue to live near the same place, or even the same state? I oftentimes get patients who were born and/or raised in one place and then moved all over the country.  I was raised within 20 miles of my brithplace, born in my mother's bedroom. Even now as an adult, I'm only about 2 hours away from there, and my mother, father and all my siblings live within 2 towns. Posts Regarding Religious DiscussionsSep 12, 2012
I recently took the action to move a post from this board to the faith board and wanted to explain why.  The post in itself was because someone does not agree with the mormon religion and she went on to post her opinions about a religion.  The content of the message was not political, except that it mentioned a politicians name, but nothing about politics itself. If you want to have a discussion about someones religion and what you believe that religion beleives in those coversations ...

Obama's Religious BlindnessFeb 19, 2015
At this week's White House summit on combating violent extremism on social media, all topics are fair game except Islamist extremism. From the administration's point of view, it may as well not even exist, despite the fact that the first I in ISIS and ISIL stands for "Islamic", as in Islamic State. The White House has consistently downplayed, if not outright ignored, the religious dimension of the war on terrorism. This has much to do with President Obama's apparent belief that a ...

Why Religious People Are Scared Of AtheistsJul 13, 2011
Religious believers commonly attack atheists simply for existing. Do out-of-the-closet atheists -- even polite ones -- challenge attempts at theocracy? What, exactly, do religious believers want from atheists? If you follow the atheism debates in op-ed pieces and whatnot, you'll see that critiques of the so-called New Atheist movement are often aimed at our tone. Among the pundits and opinion-makers, atheist writers and activists are typically called out for being offensive, in ...

Why Religious Freedom Laws Like Indiana's Are A Bad Idea For Left AND Right, Christian Or NotApr 01, 2015
Let me first say, again, I strongly believe in protecting civil liberties, but not promoting them. This means regardless of whether I agree or disagree morally, I do NOT agree with extremists, right or left, hellbent on forcing opinion into law.
