Really Fast Easy Recipe

Posted: Jun 3, 2011

I have a really easy, quick recipe.  It's sort of Sloppy Joes, but my own version.  Brown chopped meat in a skillet.  Add seasoned salt, onion powder, a hint of garlic powder, and black pepper and stir around.  Throw in some chunks of Velveeta cheese and stir until cheese is melted all through.  Serve on bun of your choice.  You can use regular American cheese, but the Velveeta tends to melt easier and clean up in the pan easier.

Yumm! That sounds good! - Here is my fave quickie-pizza:

Take a soft flour tortilla shell of any size (depending on how big a pizza you want). Lay it on a pizza pan.

Smooth on a layer of tomato paste/sauce, sprinkle on flavoring of choice (garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, etc.) Or, used ready-made pizza sauce.

Sprinkle on plenty of grated cheese of any type. Add toppings of choice:

One of my favorites is chunks of cooked chicken, drizzled with honey BBQ sauce, and chopped red onions.

My other fave is veggie pizza with shredded spinach, small pieces of marinated artichoke hearts, sliced black olives, and lots of thin slivers of sweet red onion.

Put pan on middle rack in oven and bake for about 12-14 minutes (depends on oven).

The resulting pizza is EZ to cut with a pizza wheel. The tortilla "crust" usually gets crispy enough to pick up narrow pizza slices with your hands.

(PS!) - Bake the pizza at about 350 degrees F. - (sorry, i forgot to add that!)

With the variation that we use ground beef with taco seasoning, shredded cheddar or 3-cheese, and salsa. Then, we throw some sour cream on there after we take it out of the oven.

I'm having one for lunch right now! (O.P.) - Ital. cheese, blk. olives & asparagus tips.

This is my gotta-have-dinner-on-the-table-in-15-minutes recipe:

Brown a pound of ground beef with onions. Cook some elbow noodles (or anything in the cupboard)
When the beef and onion is done, add a couple cans of tomato soup and a can of corn (this is where you can get creative). Add the drained macaroni and spices of your choice (I like garlic) to your "creation" - the homemade Hamburger Helper is done.

Kind of did this yesterday with Laughing Cow - wimt

I had browned 2 lbs of ground beef, used 1 lb. for dinner the night before and had 1 lb. in the fridge. I put some in a bowl, seasoned it up like you said, and put a wedge of Laughing Cow light swiss cheese on top. You know that's only 35 calories per wedge. Anyway, through the whole thing in the microwave, heated it up, stirred it around, and stuck it in a hot dog bun. Yummy!

By RICARDO ALONSO-ZALDIVAR, Associated Press Writer Ricardo Alonso-zaldivar, Associated Press Writer – 28 mins ago WASHINGTON – The first changes under the new health care law will be easy to see and not long in coming: There'll be $250 rebate checks for seniors in the Medicare drug coverage gap, and young adults moving from college to work will be able to stay on their parents' plans until they turn 26. But the peace of mind the president promised — t ...

Fast And Furious Report:Sep 19, 2012
How can a report be neutral if the IG works for the DOJ? They state the reason, but we will just have to wait until others read the 500-page report and report the details. I downloaded the report but won't have time to dig into it today. There is no evidence that Attorney General Eric Holder and high-ranking officials at the Justice Department knew that guns were allowed to “walk” during an ATF operation known as Fast and Furious, according to a report released on Wednesda ...

Eric Holder/fast And FuriousOct 04, 2011
Documents obtained by CBS News prove that Holder had been receiving regular briefings on the botched sting operation as early as July, 2010. This revelation runs directly counter to testimony that Holder gave before a Congressional committee in which he claimed that he had no knowledge of the scandal before the press broke it.  Seems to me like Eric Holder may have bitten off more than he can chew on this one.  Curious to see how this plays out. ...

Premiums Still Rising About As Fast Under ObamacareMar 24, 2016
That is, 30% in the 5 years before O-care, 28% in the 5 years after O-care.  But of course, that's not even the whole story.  Those are just the premiums.  When we look at other costs and also at what it all pays for (is the product as good?), the story is much, much worse. The deductibles are much higher.  Co-pays are higher.  Choice is far more limited.  And for all this added cost, many claims for services, medications and medical equipment that were cover ...

Cookie Recipe?Oct 20, 2009

I'm Going To Make A Change Starting With A News/TV Fast. (sm)Oct 14, 2010
Longer than I can remember, the daily news has been more and more depressing.  Tragedy, civil unrest, your rights vs my rights vs their rights, violence, horrific scandals and scheming, disgusting political tactics, and so forth.  Most of the TV shows even are just pushing the envelope too much.  It is stressful.
