Anyone Have Any Good Veggie Recipes To ShareJul 15, 2010
The next time we go shopping have decided to go all veggie for a couple weeks, hopefully longer.  We are overweight, feeling run down, and have been having stomach problems.  We knows its what we eat because after we eat we feel it the most.  So goodbye to the meat, dairy, cheese, breads, rice, sugar, chocolate, and hello to the veggies.  Now...I make excellent salads - nothing fancy (romaine, tomato, cuke, carrots, brocoli slaw, garbanzos, and a sprinkle of sunflower seeds), ...

There is just two of us.  I usually make his grandmother's recipe (cheesy green bean/corn dish), but want to make something different.  He doesn't like that green bean casserole with the onion topping that is usually the norm at T.G.  Just would like some different ideas of things you usually have and like. ...

Amy Austin Dunham: "I'm a bit late chiming in about the cop who was acquitted of murdering Philandro Castile, I know, but I am going to add my thoughts anyway. I watched the newly released dashcam video several times, along with Diamond Reynolds' video, which I have seen several times as well. We have two different videos to watch and put all together as best as possible. Never did I see a reason to pull a gun on him, let alone shoot him. He was killed because the cop was scare ...

Has Anyone Ever Used A Midwife? Care To Share?Jan 05, 2010
Just found out my daughter is pregnant (her second).  The first experience was so bad for her.  Hypoxemia, induction gone wrong, emergency C-section, anesthesiologist actually threatening her, and the baby had jaundice at a dangerous level that no one even noticed until I made them test him (he went home with a light vest and home health nurse), all of which was reported to the hospital administrator and so on.  Bad memories. She really wants this time to be different.  She ...

Time Share NightmareSep 08, 2012
My stepfather purchased a time share property many years ago.  I think he and my mom used it a total of three times. For years now he has been attempting to sell the time share.  Three years ago I went with him to meet with a representative who told my SF the property was now out of his name.  (After my SF gave him a check that day for $4,000.)   It never happened.  Two and one-half years ago I took a phone call up at the house when he was not home.  ...

Just Wanted To Share....Over The Years...Mar 04, 2013
I have been asked on many occasions if I could show people how to do what I do because "I know you make a ton of money".  Today, that comment is good for a never ending laugh!  I did want to share my two favorites.  Driving through the local Burger King, the gal that handed me my food asked me what I did for a living.  I love this part- I told her and she said, "oh, how nice".  When I gave her a little more detail, she said she was SURE she could do it.  Her mom wo ...

Share Pea Soup RecipesOct 13, 2014
I'd like to share my pea soup recipe, and would like other ideas as well. I don't measure things, so just use your own judgment, likes/dislikes. Use a very heavy pot like an enamel pot or dutch oven. First, I take some olive oil, heat it, then sautee up some chopped garlic, onions, celery and carrots. I remove them from the pan when they're done, add a little more olive oil, then brown up a ham steak really well. Let the bottom of the pot get brown. (You can cube the ham steak ...

Share Finger FoodsNov 14, 2015
Holidays are coming. Here are some of my favorite, easy-to-make finger foods. No utensils needed by the "eatee," LOL. Probably can even get away with just a cocktail napkin instead of a plate Roll-ups: Get plain or flavored soft tortillas. Spread a little mustard on it, then place a piece of ham (or turkey), lettuce and cheese--I use Swiss or Provolone--and roll up and cut into pinwheels. I put the lettuce in between the cold cuts and the cheese. It makes them less slippery and messy. These a ...

Have To Share After Having The Best Nights Sleep I Have Had In Years ... (sm)Oct 04, 2010
Hubby and I bought a new mattress over the weekend, it is a Serta Memory Foam mattress.  We actually purchased this at Big Lots of all places, regular $1000.00 and we paid $400.00.  I have had problems with my back for the last several years and generally toss, turn and wake up several times during the night, to the point of finally giving up, getting up and getting on the sofa.  Last night I was extremely skeptical, went to bed and when I laid down on the mattress I felt like I w ...

LITTLE ANGELS When God calls little angels to dwell with him above The morals sometimes question the wisdom of his love. For no heartache compares with the death of a little child They do so much to make our world wonderful and mild Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold So he picks a little rose bud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, so he takes but few To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, but somehow we must t ...
