Why is racism such an issue now? What started it? - My theory -sm

Why is racism such an issue now when it wasn't an issue a few years ago? Occupy Wall Street happened in 2011.

The 1% saw what was going on with OWS. They saw that the 99% was coming for them over income and wealth inequality. To protect themselves and divide and weaken the opposition 99%, the 1% pushed stories of racism through the media.

The media, of course, loved this. It meant better ratings and a never-ending run of police are evil story lines.

The 1% is happy. No one is talking about income and wealth inequality any more. Even better, people now want to defund the police and increase immigration. That will only worsen the divide and make the 1% more wealthy.

Remember this the next time you wonder why we're so divided by race. It wasn't like this in the 1980s, the 1990s, or the 2000s.
