Did George Floyd's death defeat COVID-19? - sm

Posted: May 31st, 2020 - 4:11 pm

Remember last week, when GOP governors were being called reckless for opening their states too soon? Remember when people were called selfish and irresponsible for protesting the lockdowns? Remember when people of color were complaining that they were more susceptible to the virus?

What happened? George Floyd happened.

That was all the rage last week. This week we see nothing but "brave individuals protesting" whatever it is they're protesting. Rioting for some reason. I don't even know anymore.

What I do know is George Floyd's death effectively ended the lockdowns. Businesses and owners destroyed by the rioters still won't be able to open, but at least the lockdowns are over.
