Clearly, this fact is something you don't want to hear. Is there a better option? - sm

I saw MT declining in the 90s under Clinton. It went further down the tubes under Bush and Obama. Even though Trump has been good for the economy and jobs, I don't see MT getting better under him. So what option do you have?

I suppose you could vote socialist and hope they can implement their $15/hr minimum wage and guaranteed basic income. (You'll need the guaranteed income because if $15/hr goes through half the people working for minimum wage now will likely lose their jobs. I doubt MT would escape that layoff.)

What options, other than leaving the field, do you have? I'd really like to hear your opinion on this.

The OP said:
"Progressives understand that a Green New Deal would offer relief to this country, building infrastructure, while employing people, thus building the economy for all."

Can you do one of those infrastructure-building jobs? What will you do when the infrastructure is built?
