You're right to ask, if Trump is clueless how can he [insert anything he wants to accomplish]?

The problem is the conclusion. We have a year and a half of him accomplishing things he wants to accomplish and moving things in his direction. Therefore, he can't be clueless.

At this point, you have to judge the end results. You don't judge based on whether it's good for the country or not. (That's always debatable.) You judge based on effectiveness. Did Trump accomplish something that he wanted to see happen?
