It wasn't the democrats who turned off the treated water to Flint and forced contaminated water on them without telling them what they did. Everyone had to find out after 8 people died of Legionnaires from the contaminated water. All those children who suffered from lead poison may have life-long effects because of political greed.
Now all the water pipes in every house affected by that contaminated water needs to be replaced. Why shouldn't the state pay for that. The people had nothing to do with it. Flint is one of the poorest county in Michigan, yet they should replace their own pipes? The state did it, the state should fix it.
Since not one of those 8 peoples relatives ever spoke out about how this happened, I am sure there was a big payoff and a gag order.
In my eyes Snyder should be up on murder charges right along with his Human Services top guy. The other 2 that were sentenced to prison were scapegoats and nothing more. They tried to expose Snyder but were shut down.
I like Snyder for the most part but you are not going to tell me he did not know what was going on and gave his approval. I wonder if he would have allowed that to happen in Rochester Hills or Bloomfield Hills.
They all turned Flint into a third world city. Never would I have thought I would see this in America let alone in my home state.
So the Republicans are going to have to wear this badge of disgrace. The democrats had nothing to do with it.
The democrats have never, ever done something so disgraceful.
I for one am tired of these politicians playing God with our lives and never suffering any consequence.
