If Dems believed in the 1st Amendment, specifically the right to freedom of speech would they be calling Trump treasonous for what he SAID at Helsinki?
Brennan's tweet:
"Donald Trump’s press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of “high crimes & misdemeanors.” It was nothing short of treasonous."
Yes, they really are saying that SPEAKING to the press and a foreign leader somehow rise to the level of criminal acts and treason.
Speaking at a press conference, in public, is now considered an act of treason. Has the 1st Amendment ever been more explicitly and obviously violated?
I recognize I could be wrong about this. Please, someone, anyone, who agrees with Brennan point out the specific act of treason that Trump engaged in at the event.
To get you started, I won't accept anything that is outlined as a presidential responsibility in the Constitution. For example, because the Constitution gives the President the responsibility to meet with foreign leaders, you couldn't say the President committed treason by meeting with Putin.
