There's an easier way to show that it's not run by bots... - Check the divisiveness. sm

The stated purpose of Russian bots was to increase divisiveness in America. That increased divisiveness makes Americans fight themselves rather than fighting foreign interests, like Russia. (Specifically, Russian footholds in Eastern Europe, Syria, and Iran.) To keep us divided, Russian bots would have to make sure one side doesn't get too powerful.

To call #WalkAway the movement of Russian bots is to ignore that stated purpose.

Republicans control all 3 branches of the Federal government (Presidency, Congress - House & Senate, and Supreme Court). Republicans also control all 3 branches of government in 26 states. By contrast Democrats only have total control in 8 states.

If Russian bots want to divide the US they should be playing for the Democrats right now. The #WalkAway movement isn't doing that.

Also, if we assume that it is the Russian bots we would have to admit that Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter (among other entities) have learned nothing from the bot attacks of the past. Do we have any evidence of that? All public commentary on Russian bots is that they were rooted out and they didn't play any significant role in the election. Don't forget, after examining all the evidence Mueller was only able to press charges against 13 Russians and 3 companies (1 of which didn't exist during the 2016 election). Given the state of American politics, there are many times more Americans and American companies trying to influence how we vote.

To say otherwise sounds like Dem paranoia. But what else do they have? They've been on the decline since 2010 and they show no signs of rebounding any time soon.
