Why Someone Would - Give a Thumbs Down

Posted: Jun 25th, 2018 - 11:31 am In Reply to: I fixed many of my health problems eliminating the need to see - an MD completely by changing my diet.

I don't like doing the like/dislike voting thing, but if I did, I would give you a thumbs down.

You cannot completely eliminate a qualified health provider. First of all, as a medical transcriptionist, you know that the blood work a doctor gives also includes your kidney function, liver function, white cells, red cells, thyroid, etc. These are things that are very important.

Also, people who don't believe in doctors, tend to take all sorts of herbal stuff, which can wreak havoc on your liver or kidneys. These are not FDA monitored, so if you're smart, you'll get your organ functions checked. Enter this: Everyone thought they could go off their high cholesterol meds and substitute with red rice yeast. Guess what? The docs all know that cholesterol meds can be bad on the liver, so they recommend having your liver checked if you are on them. However, it has been found that herbal or so-called natural products can do the same damage. They just didn't know about it, because those products are not tested.

So, please go get your blood tested at least once a year, regardless of whether you are on OTC "healthy" pills or not.
