That only those who came over on the Mayflower get to say how this country is run? I don't get your point.

We are a Nation of Immigrants already, it has been said many times. Just because this newer version has many coming from Central American does NOT mean they should not be allowed to pursue the same dream our ancestors did.

Native culture to provide national unity? Do we have that now?

I have lived in other countries and to me tolerating, celebrating, and enjoying our differences is one of the greatest things about this country.

This is and has always been a nation of immigrants, and that's a good thing. I don't think we need the blessing of the "settlers" to do anything. We are all settlers.
