Alexa - Paranoid much

I think your last paragraph is far-fetched in regard to reading minds. As far as Alexa, I have tried it and it works great if you have an Amazon TV and want to change channels or search for a program, it's probably helpful for people with arthritis and can't use their hands much. Apple has Siri and Microsoft has Cortana, as far as your voice going through electrical outlets in the wall, that's interesting. If have hands free Bluetooth in my car with a connected phone, and when I want to call someone I have voice tags set up and all i have to do is push a button on the steering wheel, say the name of the person I want to call and it dials their number. We have hands free driving laws in our state so actually that's a must and I have to say it's pretty cool. I'm a little paranoid about the Alexa thing so rarely use it. I also read something about the ability to give Amazon access to your home for package delivery, I'm not sure how that works. Just a question, but how would someone's voice get emailed without them providing access to the accounts? There are security settings on those devices and you don't have to share anything with Amazon or the other providers that you don't want to share.
