I have been alone in life since 2003 due to a second divorce and relocating to be closer to my family. Even with family, sometimes they just gravitate away from you, leading their own lives and being busy trying to find their own way in this world. I have been incredibly lonely for years, but as this article states, I have gravitated more towards God, Jesus, and understanding of what is written in the Bible and what is yet to come. Sometimes when I cannot sleep at night, I will imagine myself in the arms of Jesus and I immediately go to sleep. That is not something I share with anyone, so not sure why I am stating it now, but all I can say is that being alone has pretty much forced me to find alternatives which lead directly to God. Maybe that is His way of securing his faithful prior to His return. He has promised we will not be lonely once we are with Him, and for that reason, I wish for His return daily. Good article.
