You can get these bee or wasp traps. They are basically a big plastic container like a tea thingie only it has just a lid and not the spout to use. You put orange juice and sweet stuff in it and the bees or wasps go in but they can't get out of that trap. They should have them at Walmart or some other kind of store. Don't think they are too expensive. I got one in a catalogue like Walter Drake or something like that. Anyway, it sure works cause you have to end up removing them. I just buried them in some dirt.
Maybe someone else can tell you another way.
My mother had carpenter bees in her house and they sure made a lot of noise when it got hot outside. She had to have an exterminator two years in a row, but they finally left.
