He has been on pain meds for the last 2 weeks. We are bringing him back for a re-x-ray this Tuesday. If they see that a callus has formed and there is good alignment, we can stick with the splint for the next several weeks. If not, we can still consider surgery if we are able to secure funding for it. We applied for a grant from a program with which our vet hospital is associated.
Our 85-pound pup seems happy and anxious to be able to move around more, so it's been a little challenging trying to minimize his activity, but I do think that's a good sign. Please keep praying, my prayer warrior sisters! God bless all of you!
