raise the national debt more than all other presidents combined. He did not even raise it more percentage-wise than his predecessors. The article I have cited is from Forbes which, as you may know, is not a Democrats' publication. Secondly, the debt ceiling has to be raised because the money has already been spent and if we do not raise it, we will default on our debt.
